Beaches near Firostefani

Firostefani sits directly on the caldera cliff and has no beach of its own. The nearest options are the same as from Fira: Kamari Beach, about 9 kilometres away, and Perissa Beach, a little further, both on the island’s black sand coast.

Best time to visit

Sunset is the best reason to be in Firostefani, and a dinner reservation around 6 to 6:30pm in the evening secures a good table before the light changes. Spring and autumn offer the same views with fewer people competing for the cliffside tables than in peak summer.
